The forum is hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, and is co-organized by the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency, Kangwon National University, Sungkyunkwan University, Chonnam National University, LG Innotek, LS, and a total of 11 K-High Tech Platform operating organizations nationwide.
The Leaders Forum is an artificial intelligence (AI) master program targeting executives of small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies. Lecturers include current executives from global IT companies such as Microsoft Korea, Google Korea, and AWS Korea, as well as Professor Choi Jaeboong of Sungkyunkwan University.
Participants will have the opportunity to directly compare and experience generative AI services provided by Microsoft and Google, and learn how to apply these technologies to business management through practical exercises.
In Goyang City, group training will be conducted six times at the Goyang Drone Anchor Center near Korea Aerospace University. The graduation ceremony and seminar will be held on September 24 at the SK Telecom Boramae Building. All participants will receive full tuition support, and a certificate of completion accredited by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea will be issued.
On the final day of the forum, Professor Jung Jihoon of DIGIST will deliver a lecture titled "AI Technology Trends from the Perspective of a Silicon Valley Investor," and Professor Kim Daesik of KAIST will present "AGI: Angels and Demons."
Applications can be submitted until August 20 through the official website of the "K-High Tech Platform Leaders Forum" (www.k-hp.co.kr) or the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency website (www.gipa.or.kr). As registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, early application is recommended for executives interested in the forum.
Director Kim Jongsang stated, "This forum, now in its second year following last year's successful operation, is the flagship collaborative program of the K-High Tech Platform. Its major advantage is that the same level of training is available at platforms nationwide, including Goyang City. We hope this opportunity will help local companies strengthen their AI capabilities and foster collaboration."
Meanwhile, the K-High Tech Platform is part of the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Human Resources Development Service of Korea's National Human Resources Development Consortium project. It provides training in advanced technologies and digital transformation for current employees and future talent at 48 locations nationwide. It also serves as an open platform that shares training infrastructure with companies and institutions.
