KB Kookmin Bank Publishes 2024 Social Contribution White Paper

KB Kookmin Bank announced on August 12 that it has published the "2024 Social Contribution White Paper," which highlights the bank's social contribution activities and achievements over the past year.

The white paper, which has been published annually since 2012, features the bank's social contribution activities under four themes: ▲KB Dream Wave 2030 ▲Journey for Happiness ▲Sharing That Changes the World ▲Livelihood Finance.

"KB Dream Wave 2030" is KB Kookmin Bank's flagship social contribution initiative, ongoing since 2006. Key projects include reducing educational disparities, alleviating inequality of opportunity, and operating KB Small Libraries. "Journey for Happiness" encompasses programs that address low birth rates and care gaps, as well as initiatives supporting the growth of small business owners and SMEs. "Sharing That Changes the World" covers activities such as matching donation campaigns, emergency relief for disasters, and enhanced efforts to prevent financial fraud targeting seniors. Lastly, "Livelihood Finance" introduces practical support measures, such as programs to ease the financial burden on small business owners and guarantee agreements to foster entrepreneurial small businesses.

KB Kookmin Bank publishes the white paper online to reduce paper usage and take the lead in environmental protection. A KB Kookmin Bank representative stated, "We will continue to expand inclusive finance so that those facing socioeconomic challenges do not lose hope."
