Visiting Application Service for Residents with Mobility Difficulties
765 Beneficiaries Receive Support
On August 12, Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it is operating a "visiting application service" to eliminate blind spots in the distribution of livelihood recovery consumption coupons.
This service is being provided to ensure that vulnerable groups?such as the elderly and people with disabilities who have mobility difficulties or face challenges in applying?are not excluded from receiving consumption coupon support.

From July 28 to August 11, the city provided consumption coupons to a total of 765 people through the visiting application service.
The service operates as follows: when a resident who wishes to use the service contacts the welfare team at their local administrative welfare center by phone, a designated public official visits the household to assist with the application and registration process and provides the consumption coupon.
Even if eligible individuals do not make a request, the city is proactively guiding applications for vulnerable groups with limited access to information by visiting senior centers with a high proportion of elderly residents and utilizing local human networks such as community leaders.
Additionally, the city is assisting with applications by providing guidance to users of comprehensive social welfare centers, senior welfare centers, and welfare centers for people with disabilities; by accepting on-site applications from residents in facilities such as nursing homes; and by informing guardians (proxies) about the application process through facility staff.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "We are making every effort to operate the visiting application service so that citizens with mobility difficulties or limited access to information are not excluded from support," adding, "Through proactive administrative outreach, we will minimize welfare blind spots."
As of 6:00 p.m. on August 11, Hwaseong City had completed the distribution of livelihood recovery consumption coupons to approximately 937,000 people, which is 96.3% of the 977,000 eligible recipients.
