Laying the Foundation for Designation
in Line with National Policy
Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) is actively pursuing the designation of the "Goheung Space Launch Vehicle National Industrial Complex" as an RE100 (100% renewable energy) industrial complex.
The RE100 industrial complex is a government policy initiative that supports tenant companies in achieving their RE100 goals by utilizing abundant local renewable energy, as carbon neutrality and eco-friendly energy transition have become global trends.

Last month, the government announced plans to prepare measures for establishing RE100 industrial complexes and a special legislative bill within the year, including electricity rate reductions and regulatory easing to support RE100 industrial complexes.
In order to have the Space Launch Vehicle National Industrial Complex designated as an RE100 complex, the county is reviewing various power supply methods. In particular, it is considering the use of both the solar power facilities already established in the region and offshore wind power generation.
Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "We will ensure that the Space Launch Vehicle National Industrial Complex is designated as an RE100 complex to strengthen the global competitiveness of tenant companies and to establish a sustainable space industry ecosystem."
Meanwhile, the Space Launch Vehicle National Industrial Complex, currently under development in Bongrae-myeon, Goheung County, with a total area of approximately 1.52 million square meters, was exempted from the preliminary feasibility study in June last year. In June of this year, LH applied to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for approval of the industrial complex plan, accelerating the project's progress.
