Operating Hours Adjusted and Three New Stops Added Starting August 18
Dongjak District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Ilha) announced on the 12th that it will adjust the operating hours and expand the number of stops for the ‘Autonomous Village Bus (Dongjak A01)’, which is the first of its kind in the country. The changes will take effect starting August 18.

The weekday operating hours will be changed from the previous 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to the new schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Service will be suspended from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch break and vehicle inspection.
The number of stops will increase from 8 to 11. On the upbound route, Sanggdo 1-dong Community Center, Sangdo 3rd Cha Raemian (20245), and Sangdo 3rd Cha Samsung Raemian Back Gate (20243) will be newly added. On the downbound route, Sangdo SH Ville Apartment Sangdo Palace Back Gate (20242) will be newly added.
The operation will consist of two vehicles running seven times each in both directions, for a total of 14 trips per day. The revised timetable for each trip is as follows: 1st trip 07:30?08:10, 2nd trip 08:20?09:00, 3rd trip 09:10?09:50, 4th trip 10:00?10:40, 5th trip 10:50?11:30, 6th trip 13:00?13:40, 7th trip 13:50?14:30.
Previously, the district began operating ‘Dongjak A01’ on June 30. Two vehicles alternately ran seven times each, making round trips from the main gate of Soongsil University to the back gate of Chung-Ang University, safely transporting approximately 1,000 passengers over the course of about one month.
Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak District, stated, “I hope residents will experience the future of transportation in their daily lives through the autonomous village bus,” adding, “We will continue to identify and expand differentiated transportation services with resident convenience as our top priority.”
