Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province has secured 900 million won in the first round of special adjustment grants for 2025 for the construction of the 'Yangju 1-dong Complex Government Office,' which is being built on the development site near Yangju Station.
The Yangju 1-dong Complex Government Office is a large-scale public facility with a total project cost of 29.6 billion won. It will have a total floor area of 6,946.09 square meters and will consist of one basement level and four above-ground floors.
The building will house various community facilities, including an administrative welfare center, a residents' self-governing center, a cultural center, a comprehensive care center, a senior citizens' college, and a lifelong learning center.
This special adjustment grant is the second allocation, following the 1 billion won provided in the second round of 2023, bringing the total special adjustment grants secured to 1.9 billion won.
It is known that the support of Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member Lee Youngju, as well as the cooperation of Yangju City's Planning and Budget Division and Accounting Division, played a significant role in securing this grant.
The city plans to utilize this grant effectively to alleviate the financial burden and accelerate the project, with the goal of completing construction by December 2025 without any delays.
In addition, by creating a citizen-centered complex space, the city aims to bring about tangible improvements in the living environment and quality of life for local residents.
