The University Innovation Support Project is a flagship national financial support initiative that enables universities to autonomously innovate their curricula to foster future-oriented, convergent talent. A total of 138 universities nationwide are participating in the project.

This performance evaluation was conducted in two areas: 'Education Innovation Performance,' which assesses the achievements and future plans for educational innovation at each university, and 'Internal Performance Management,' which examines the framework for managing innovation outcomes.

To guarantee students 100% freedom in choosing their majors, Seoul Women's University enhanced its flexible academic system by expanding double major options and abolishing restrictions on the number of times students can change their majors. The university also established a tailored guidance, education, and career exploration support system based on each student's aptitude and characteristics.

Furthermore, the university reorganized its previously fragmented, discipline-centered curriculum into a competency-based structure and designed a convergent curriculum that fosters interdisciplinary connectivity and multidisciplinary thinking among majors.

Thanks to these efforts, Seoul Women's University received high marks in various areas, including its structured approach to helping students explore majors and develop career awareness within the liberal arts curriculum. The university also secured an additional incentive of approximately 3 billion KRW, allowing for greater flexibility in project operations.

A university representative stated, "For the third cycle of the University Innovation Support Project, we have set our goal as 'nurturing student-driven convergent talent through the advancement of a hyper-connected educational ecosystem.' We plan to continue pursuing differentiated educational innovation through a variety of curricula and support programs."
