[Invest&Law] Barun Law to Host Seminar on "Global Regulatory Trends of Stablecoins"

Key Legal Issues Surrounding Stablecoins
Exploring Response Strategies and Business Implications

[Invest&Law] Barun Law to Host Seminar on "Global Regulatory Trends of Stablecoins"

As global regulatory discussions surrounding stablecoins become more active, a variety of legal issues-such as cross-border payment systems, anti-money laundering, and financial stability-are emerging as key points of contention. The United States has become the first country to pass the "Stablecoin Responsibility Act" at the federal level, while major financial hubs like Singapore and Japan are also refining their respective regulatory frameworks.

In this context, Barun Law LLC (Managing Partners: Lee Donghun, Lee Younghee, Kim Dohyung) will host a seminar titled "Global Regulatory Trends and Business Implications of Stablecoins: Domestic Insights" at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 19, in the Conference Hall on the 2nd floor of the Textile Center Building in Gangnam-gu.

This seminar has been organized to discuss major legal issues surrounding stablecoins, the structure of global stablecoin payment systems, and future response strategies from the perspective of business operators.

The seminar will feature presentations on the following topics: the latest trends and implications in the global regulatory environment for stablecoins; policy directions and business strategies for stablecoins; and the present and future of global stablecoin payment systems.

Han Sehee, an attorney who leads Barun's Digital Assets and Innovation Industry Team, stated, "Stablecoins are no longer just a technological experiment-they have emerged as a central focus for a range of legal issues, including cross-border payment systems, anti-money laundering, and financial stability. This seminar will provide an opportunity to explore future response strategies from a business operator's perspective."

The seminar will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM on August 19 in the Conference Hall on the 2nd floor of the Textile Center Building in Gangnam-gu. Each session will be followed by a Q&A and networking session. Those wishing to participate can register via a Google Form available on Barun's official website.

Managing Partner Lee Donghun commented, "Through this seminar, we aim to provide in-depth expert analysis on the major legal issues and global payment system structures surrounding stablecoins. We look forward to active participation from stakeholders in the virtual asset industry and the financial sector."
