From August 30, Geobukseom 1-gil Square Will Host
Commercial Property Owners, Franchise Headquarters, and Entrepreneurs All in One Place for Four Days
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province will host the 'Geobukseom Shopping District Expo' at Geobukseom 1-gil Square for four days, from August 30 to September 2.
This expo, co-organized by the Geobukseom Development Committee and the Geobukseom Merchants Association, has been arranged to introduce the future value of Geobukseom, Siheung's representative marine tourism resource, and to revitalize the local commercial district.
During the event, franchise headquarters and commercial property owners will participate to provide support programs such as lease consultations, start-up consulting, and revenue model case studies for new entrepreneurs and those hoping to switch business sectors. The organizers expect a large number of visitors, as the National Marine Sports Festival will also be held during the expo period.
At the expo site, related organizations such as the Siheung City Small Business Support Division, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and NongHyup will participate to provide financial support, policy guidance, and start-up consultations. In addition, special programs will be offered to introduce the revenue models of stores that are currently operating successfully within Geobukseom, enabling start-up benchmarking.
Geobukseom is home to the world's largest artificial surfing park, 'Wave Park,' as well as Miocosta Water Park and an experiential eco-science museum. Large-scale tourism infrastructure such as Marina Port and the nation's largest aquarium are also being developed sequentially.
Kim Seontae, Chairperson of the Geobukseom Development Committee, said, "This expo will be an opportunity to directly witness the vision and future value of Geobukseom on site and to realize your entrepreneurial dreams."
