On August 11, Samil PwC announced that it will hold the "Entertainment Industry Outlook and Business Seminar" on September 9 at Amore Hall, located on the second floor of its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The seminar will cover the latest trends and outlooks in the entertainment and media (E&M) industry, as well as major issues surrounding the financial environment.
Domestic E&M companies are seeking sustainable growth opportunities based on the expansion of digital content, exploration of global markets, and expectations for increased government support for the culture and arts industry.
This seminar has been organized to analyze the latest trends and outlooks in the rapidly changing E&M industry, driven by technological advances such as artificial intelligence (AI), and to present strategic directions for domestic companies to respond to these changes. The seminar will consist of a total of six sessions.
In the first session, Song Younghoon, Head of Data Policy at the Korea Creative Content Agency, and Lee Beomtak, E&M Industry Audit Partner at Samil PwC, will analyze trends and outlooks in the entertainment industry. This will be followed by Kim Jimi, Audit Partner, and Kim Kwangsoo, Tax Partner, who will address key accounting and tax issues in the E&M industry and discuss response strategies.
In the third session, Ko Haejeong, Head of Content Tech Planning at CJ ENM, will present cases of AI utilization within the entertainment industry, while Cho Hongrae, AX Node Partner at Samil PwC, will introduce an AI package service for settlement of payments to artists managed by management agencies.
The fourth and fifth sessions will feature Kim Jin, Deal Partner, and Jung Seungwon, Global IPO Task Force Partner, who will analyze the current status of M&A in the entertainment industry and discuss global IPO strategies, focusing on recent successful cases. Finally, Lee Bohwa, Sustainability Team Partner, will address ESG response strategies for the entertainment industry.
