Gyeonggi Office of Education Appoints 10 Public Relations Ambassadors Including Current Teachers

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has appointed a total of 10 individuals (or teams), including current teachers and experts from various fields, as public relations ambassadors.


The newly appointed ambassadors include broadcaster Kim Yongmyung, who is both a comedian and a professor in the field of performing arts; teacher Lee Hyeonji, who appeared on the TV program "Show Me the Money" and is known as the rapping teacher "Dalji"; and teachers Song Seonggeun and Hwang Hyeonha, both Gyeonggi Province teachers who are also active as social media influencers.


In addition, the list includes actor Lim Chaemu, who is the CEO of Dooly Land and is referred to as the "modern-day Bang Jeonghwan"; gugak musician Kim Youngim, a national intangible cultural heritage Gyeonggi folk song educator; gugak musician Bang Geul, who is an arts instructor and head of the Gyeonggi folk song division at the Seongnam Gugak Association; and teachers Lee Hyeongil and Shin Haein, who communicate with students through dance and are also active as social media influencers. The Holt School Yegrina & Gugak Orchestra, composed of students with disabilities and known for delivering moving and inspiring performances, has been reappointed this year following last year's appointment.

For one year following their appointment, these ambassadors will promote future education in Gyeonggi through a variety of activities, including talent donation, public interest campaigns, and the production of promotional photos and videos.


Im Taehee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, stated, "The direction of Gyeonggi education is to help students design their own happy futures by pursuing what they love and do well." He added, "This becomes a driving force not only for individual growth but also for the development of the nation and society as a whole."


He went on to emphasize, "As public relations ambassadors for Gyeonggi education, I ask that you become 'milestones' and 'beacons' whom students want to resemble, learn from, and create new cultures with."
