Seeking Mutual Development through Joint Research and Talent Exchange
Discussing AI-driven Drug Development and Expansion of Global Networks
Chung-Ang University announced on August 9 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association.

This agreement was signed with the aim of promoting mutual development between the two organizations through a comprehensive partnership, including academia-industry cooperation, fostering outstanding talent, and smooth information exchange.
The two organizations plan to cooperate in various fields, including joint research and business participation, exchanges for talent development and utilization, and mutual collaboration to create and disseminate new knowledge and technologies.
In addition, they will continue discussions on specific areas of cooperation, such as expanding domestic and international networks, introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to pharmaceutical companies and developing AI-driven new drugs, and the practical application of technologies and drug candidates from Chung-Ang University’s startups and venture companies.
Noh Yeonhong, Chairman of the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association, stated, “AI convergence will be a powerful tool for K-Pharma to advance to the global level. The association has established the AI Drug Convergence Research Institute to foster a digital innovation ecosystem and train specialized talent. With this agreement, we look forward to strengthening research capabilities with Chung-Ang University and achieving tangible results.”

I believe this agreement with the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association, which has an international network, provides a valuable opportunity for us to take a leap onto the global stage.”
