At the Children's Ecological Learning Library, the "Summer Reading Class" will be held on August 8 under the theme "A Midsummer Night, Library Treasure Hunt," and on August 13, the "Ecology OX Quiz and Author Lecture by Kwon Hyukdo" will offer an opportunity to experience nature along with books.
At Sangnok Library, a summer night event combining reading and cultural performances, "Sangnok Starry Night Book-cation," will take place on August 9, and on August 23 and 30, the special vacation program "With Dad! My First Hand Sewing," where fathers and children participate together, will be held. At Seobitmaru Library, craft programs such as making real flower candles and gemstone air fresheners will be offered on August 12 and 19.
In addition, the district is preparing activities such as the reading program "Noisy Fairy Tale Experience Class" tailored to children's perspectives, the family movie screening "Family Movie Screening," and the "Seobit Sketch Exhibition," which displays participants' works.
The district is also taking care of information-vulnerable groups who have difficulty participating in outdoor activities. Seogu will operate the "Visiting Program for the Underprivileged" for adults with developmental disabilities, together with social workers certified in book play reading coaching.
Seogu plans to visit facilities such as the Narae Daycare Center and local children's centers in person to support not only book activities but also craft experiences, puppet shows, musical instrument performances, and other diverse programs, thereby working toward the realization of practical cultural welfare.
Chae Bonggil, director of the library, said, "These programs are designed not only for children on summer vacation but also for vulnerable groups who may find it difficult to visit the library in person, so we hope for much interest and participation from local residents."
