Busan Metropolitan Office of Education to Hold Second Qualification Exam for Elementary, Middle, and High School Graduates on August 12

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on August 8 that the '2025 Second Qualification Examination for Elementary, Middle, and High School Graduates' will be held at a total of eight test centers starting at 9:00 a.m. on August 12.

A total of 2,452 candidates have applied for this exam: 131 for the elementary school level, 375 for the middle school level, and 1,946 for the high school level. This is an increase of 176 candidates compared to the first examination held last year.

The test will be conducted at Hanbada Middle School for the elementary school level, Geoje Girls' Middle School for the middle school level, and Dongyang Middle School, Busan Girls' Middle School, Jangsan Middle School, and Hwamyeong Middle School for the high school level. In addition, separate test centers will be set up at Busan Oryun School and Busan Correctional Institution for juvenile and inmate candidates.

All candidates must check the 'Qualification Exam Information' section on the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education website for important exam instructions. On the day of the exam, candidates are required to bring their ID card, exam admission ticket, and writing instruments (computer-marking water-based pens for middle and high school levels, black ballpoint pens for the elementary school level) and enter their designated test room by 8:30 a.m.

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will also provide customized accommodations for candidates who have requested support for disabilities, including reading assistance, writing assistance, enlarged test papers, and independent test rooms.

Successful candidates will be announced at 10:00 a.m. on August 29 on the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education website, and the certificate award ceremony will be held on September 8 in the main auditorium of the Office of Education.
