According to the police on August 8, the Security Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency requested the Ministry of Justice to ban Pastor Jeon from leaving the country in June. This travel ban has since been extended once and remains in effect as of now.

In addition, the police have recently imposed overseas travel bans on six others, including Shin Hyesik, head of the YouTube channel "God's Hand," and Bae Inkyu, head of the New Men's Solidarity.

Pastor Jeon and others are suspected of inciting participants at the Gwanghwamun rally, which allegedly triggered the riot at the Seoul Western District Court.

The police launched a full-scale investigation on August 5 by conducting search and seizure operations at Sarang Jeil Church and other locations, targeting Pastor Jeon and others on charges including instigating unlawful entry into a special building.
