Cuckoo announced on August 8 that it will provide around 200 rice cookers to help residents in areas affected by last month's heavy rains recover their daily lives.

Cuckoo will donate electric pressure rice cookers worth approximately 55 million won to residents affected by flooding in six regions designated by the government as special disaster zones: Gapyeong in Gyeonggi Province, Seosan and Yesan in South Chungcheong Province, Damyang in South Jeolla Province, and Sancheong and Hapcheon in South Gyeongsang Province.

Cuckoo Donates Rice Cookers Worth 55 Million Won to Special Disaster Zones

Last month, Cuckoo provided emergency services such as free repairs and product exchanges for customers affected by flooding in the special disaster zones. The company also plans to expand support to customers outside these areas who have suffered damage equivalent to a special disaster, following a separate procedure.

A Cuckoo representative stated, "A rice cooker is the most basic household item for restoring daily life," adding, "We will continue to share with the community in various ways and fulfill our social responsibility as a company that empathizes with the hardships faced by the public."
