The Gyeongbuk Office of Education has been strengthening its response system by appointing legal advisors with specialized expertise in accordance with the "Regulations on the Handling of Litigation Affairs Related to Education and Academic Affairs in Gyeongsangbuk-do." This is to effectively manage responses and provide legal advice for increasingly complex and sophisticated litigation cases in the field of education.

Over the past two years, through its legal advisors, the office has handled a total of 31 civil lawsuits, including securing ownership of school land and compensation for school safety accidents, as well as 41 administrative lawsuits, such as appeals for the cancellation of school violence dispositions and dismissal orders. In addition, the office has provided legal advice on approximately 190 cases. These legal services have greatly contributed to the stability of the educational field and improved satisfaction with administrative services among education stakeholders.

The newly appointed legal advisors will provide a wide range of legal services, including legal advice, litigation, and interpretation and application of laws, not only to the Gyeongbuk Office of Education but also to its affiliated education support offices and schools at all levels. In particular, they are expected to enable more professional and prompt responses to the increasingly complex disputes and legal demands in the educational field.

Jang Jungchan, Director of Administration, stated, "By appointing capable attorneys with extensive legal knowledge and field experience as legal advisors, we will be able to respond to various legal issues that may arise in all aspects of educational administration in a more systematic and responsible manner." He added, "Through this, we aim to further enhance the legal stability of the educational field and increase public trust in educational administrative services."
