Yangsan City Launches Free "Love PC" Distribution Project

Refurbished Office PCs to Be Distributed
to Digitally Marginalized Groups

Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province will implement the "Love PC Distribution Project," which involves refurbishing and providing 80 used office PCs free of charge.

This initiative is a response to the widening digital divide caused by advances in information and communication technology. Through the Love PC Distribution Project, the city plans to supply necessary PCs to digitally marginalized groups, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to access information and communicate.

The recipients include individuals and organizations with limited access to computers, such as basic livelihood security recipients, those in the next-lowest income bracket, child-headed households, people with disabilities, national merit recipients, elderly and disabled care facilities, and social welfare facilities.

Each household or organization will receive one PC. Those who have received a Love PC after January 1, 2023, will be excluded from selection.

Applications can be submitted from August 11 to September 12, either by visiting the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Center or through the integrated reservation system on the Yangsan City Hall website.

The city plans to complete the selection of recipients and PC repairs by September 18, notify the selected individuals or organizations, and then distribute the Love PCs by visiting each recipient’s residence or facility sequentially from September 19 until the end of October. A one-year free after-sales service will be provided.
