Genesis Continues Sponsorship of Busan International Film Festival for Ninth Consecutive Year

The Genesis brand will sponsor the '30th Busan International Film Festival,' continuing its partnership for the ninth consecutive year.

On August 7, Genesis held a sponsorship agreement ceremony for the 'Genesis-30th Busan International Film Festival' at Hyundai Motor Company's Gangnam-daero headquarters. Key figures in attendance included Jung Yuseok, Vice President and Head of Domestic Business Division at Hyundai Motor Company; Cho Wonsang, Executive Director of Domestic Product Marketing Division; Lee Cheolmin, Executive Director of Domestic Marketing; and Park Kwangsoo, Director of the Busan International Film Festival.

The Busan International Film Festival, which began its first edition in 1996, marks its 30th anniversary this year and is the largest film festival in Asia. Alongside the Tokyo International Film Festival and the Hong Kong International Film Festival, it has made significant contributions to the growth and discovery of Asian cinema.

Since 2017, Genesis has been the official sponsor of the Busan International Film Festival, sharing a common goal of promoting the aesthetics of Korea and Asia to the world and contributing to the development of the local community.

In addition, Genesis will operate a brand exhibition booth and offer a variety of experiential programs.

A representative from Genesis stated, "As a brand committed to the advancement of culture and the arts, we are proud to have contributed to the growth and development of Asian cinema through our long-standing partnership with the Busan International Film Festival. This year, we look forward to further expanding opportunities for brand experiences by engaging with customers who love the arts."
