KB Kookmin Card and GS Launch 80th Anniversary of Liberation Lunchbox Campaign

Special Lunchbox Released for the 80th Anniversary of Liberation
Collaboration Features Taegeuk-Inspired Design and Independence Typeface

On August 7, KB Kookmin Card announced that it will launch a special lunchbox campaign in collaboration with GS Retail and the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation.

The 80th Anniversary of Liberation lunchbox consists of a seven-dish meal designed to provide a hearty serving. The packaging features two designs?blue and red?both inspired by the Taegeuk symbol, embodying the symbolic meaning of liberation and a visually complete presentation.

The lunchbox packaging incorporates GS Caltex's "Independence Typeface," a digital restoration of independence activists' handwriting, and includes the quote from activist Yun Bonggil, "We will find a world of freedom," to further emphasize the historical message.

Customers who purchase the lunchbox can participate in an event where one of four keyboard keycaps (Daehan, Dongnip, Manse, Taegeukgi) is given at random. A total of 200,000 keycaps have been produced for this event, and they will be provided with lunchbox purchases at GS25 stores nationwide.

A KB Kookmin Card representative stated, "In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Liberation, we joined this campaign to reflect on the meaning of liberation in our daily lives and to share a hearty meal," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility through various activities imbued with historical significance."
