The White House announced that U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on the 6th (local time) imposing an additional 25% tariff on Indian imports of Russian oil.
As a result, the total tariff rate imposed by the United States on India will be 50%, combining the existing 25% reciprocal tariff scheduled to take effect on the 7th with the newly announced 25% tariff.
