NeMaf Opens Tomorrow... Spotlight on Michael Haneke and More

This is a new media art film festival that encompasses film, exhibitions, and technology. This year, eighty-seven works from about thirty countries will be screened or exhibited.

The opening program consists of three short films, including "If There Had Been Four Mothers" by artist Lee Mirae, which delivers a message to the homeland through the story of an adoptee and the three mothers encountered during birth, foster care, and adoption.

There will also be a special retrospective on Michael Haneke, who has twice won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, featuring his early works. His debut film "The Seventh Continent" (1989), "71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance" (1995), and "Benny's Video" (1993) will be screened consecutively.
