A is accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend with a weapon on a street in Goejeong-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, at around 12:08 p.m. on July 29.

Immediately after the crime, A fled the scene but was apprehended within a day. Just before being arrested, he attempted to poison himself and received treatment at a hospital. He was questioned by police after being discharged from the hospital the previous day.

A stated, "I had an argument with the victim over the ownership of a motorcycle lease, and I became angry because I felt she was disregarding me, so I decided to kill her."

Investigations revealed that A decided to commit the crime three to four months before the incident. The conflict began when A borrowed a motorcycle in the victim B's name without her permission.

Before the crime, A purchased a weapon and pesticide. On the day they were supposed to go together in a shared car to change the ownership of the motorcycle, A killed B.

The police plan to continue investigating A to determine his specific motive and whether there are any additional crimes.
