Presidential Cup and Korea Sports Council President's Cup
50 Teams and Over 1,000 Participants Nationwide
The largest hockey tournament in South Korea is being held in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do from August 6 to August 16, 2025.
The city of Gimhae announced that the 39th Presidential National Hockey Tournament and the 36th Korea Sports Council President's Cup National Amateur Hockey Tournament will take place at the Gimhae Hockey Stadium.
The Presidential National Tournament runs from August 6 to August 14, while the Korea Sports Council President's Cup National Tournament will be held over two days, from August 15 to August 16.
A total of 50 teams and approximately 1,000 players from across the country will compete in the tournament.

The city plans to prioritize the safety of athletes and visitors, create a comfortable playing environment, and ensure the successful management of the event.
In addition, by bringing together elite athletes and amateur sports enthusiasts, the city aims to promote the popularization of hockey and establish a systematic growth system to foster a sustainable sports environment.
Heo Sangyoung, head coach of the City Hall hockey team, said, "To expand the base of amateur sports and achieve balanced development between amateur and elite athletics, our team will strive for excellent results to enhance Gimhae's reputation as a premier sports city. We will also make hockey more familiar to the public through talent donation activities."
A city official stated, "By hosting the national hockey tournament following this year's track and rowing events, we will further solidify our position as a sports city and create an environment where youth elite athletes can continue to grow. We will do our utmost to foster a sports culture that involves the sports department, city administration, and citizens together, thereby revitalizing the local economy and enhancing the city's brand value."
