This meeting was organized to discuss strategies for attracting "anchor companies," such as mid-sized and small-but-strong enterprises with more than 100 employees and annual sales of over 30 billion KRW, to knowledge industry centers currently being sold within the city. The aim is to enhance the agglomeration effect and industrial ecosystem connectivity of the knowledge industry center through the presence of anchor companies, and to strengthen the foundation for a self-sustaining city.

Participants in the meeting included the head of corporate support, the head of the knowledge industry center team, the head of the factory registration team, executives and staff from three knowledge industry center operators (DS Group Co., Ltd., IS Dongseo Co., Ltd., and Narae Enterprise Co., Ltd.) that are currently selling or planning to sell centers, as well as Oh Changhwan, chairman of the Knowledge Industry Center Council.

The meeting featured a variety of discussions, including sharing the current status of knowledge industry center sales, the necessity and expected effects of attracting anchor companies, cooperation plans with operators, and strategies for attracting tenant companies.

Going forward, the city plans to actively provide practical administrative support, such as resolving difficulties faced by companies wishing to move in and offering customized consultations, in order to promote the attraction of anchor companies. The city also intends to establish regular communication channels with operators and the council to strengthen its cooperation system.
