Cube Entertainment (hereafter "Cube Entertainment") announced on August 6 that their girl group i-dle has performed the first-ever pre-game show in the history of the LA Angels' home games.
i-dle (Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, Shuhua) attended the game between the LA Angels and the Tampa Bay Rays held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on August 4 (local time). Invited to celebrate LA Angels' Korean Heritage Night, i-dle captivated local baseball fans with a congratulatory performance and a ceremonial first pitch before the game began.
Before the game, i-dle heightened the excitement at the venue with their celebratory stage. Wearing LA Angels uniforms that highlighted each member's unique style, i-dle performed "TOMBOY," followed by "Wife" and "Queencard," drawing enthusiastic cheers from the audience. This marks the first time a singer has performed their own songs as a pre-game show at an LA Angels home game.
Additionally, i-dle spent meaningful time with LA Angels' representative batters Mike Trout and Zach Neto, legendary Korean Major Leaguer Kim Byung-hyun, and former KBO foreign pitcher Dustin Nippert.
Afterward, Yuqi took the mound, cheered on by the other members, and delivered a powerful ceremonial pitch with a perfect windup, infusing the home team LA Angels with a spirit of victory. Yuqi stated, "It is an honor to throw my first ceremonial pitch in MLB. Thanks to Kim Byung-hyun's guidance, I was able to deliver a great pitch. I also feel very proud to have performed with the members." On this day, the LA Angels achieved a come-from-behind victory over the Tampa Bay Rays, and i-dle demonstrated their presence as "goddesses of victory" even in the United States.
Meanwhile, after appearing at "KCON LA 2025" on August 2 and 3 and showcasing their status as a leading K-pop group, i-dle will take the stage at "ALL THE K-POP STAGE IN MACAU," to be held at the Venetian Arena in Macau on August 9 (Korean time).
