The Book Cafe is a space where visitors can read books, enjoy cultural activities, and spend time. During the summer, it is equipped with air conditioning, serving as a shelter from the heat. It is gaining attention as an urban summer retreat, attracting a diverse range of residents of all ages.

The cumulative number of visitors to the Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Book Cafe has been steadily rising. In March, there were 19,989 visitors; in April, 27,330; in May, 34,534; in June, 43,530; and in July, the number surpassed 54,216. This demonstrates that the Book Cafe has become a prominent cultural space in the daily lives of residents.

To coincide with the summer vacation, the Book Cafe is also offering reading programs that families can enjoy together. On August 9 at 2:00 p.m., the event "Dive into Books! Exciting Reading Adventure" will take place. The event will feature author Kim Dongsik sharing the story "The Book That Changed My Life," providing inspiration, along with a variety of hands-on programs that allow participants to play with books. As the event is open to families, it is expected to be a cultural festival that all generations can enjoy together.

The Book Cafe is open to everyone without restrictions. Anyone visiting Gyeonggi Peace Plaza can use the facility without a reservation and enjoy the comfortable reading area, the latest books, and board games. At the Gyeonggi Millennium Gallery, visitors can also appreciate a variety of art exhibitions.

Gyeonggi Province plans to use this event to offer a Book Cafe experience that combines culture and leisure, encourage participation from people of all ages, and provide more people with enjoyment and relaxation.
