Gwangju City Holds Pre-Training for 2025 Summer University Student Job Program

Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on August 5 that it held a pre-training session for participants in the '2025 Summer University Student Job Program' at the Soonam Hall of City Hall on August 4.

The pre-training was held from 9:00 a.m. for two hours and was designed to help university student participants with practical administrative skills, including customer service guidelines and proper work attitudes in administrative institutions.


In particular, a special lecture on employment was held under the theme "Understanding Workplace Communication," aimed at helping university students, who are prospective job seekers, prepare for social life. The Gwangju City Youth Support Center and an AI-based non-face-to-face mock interview program were also introduced.


A total of 50 university students were selected for this summer job program. They will be assigned to 15 departments, including City Hall, eup·myeon·dong administrative welfare centers, and libraries, to assist with various administrative tasks. The work period is four weeks, from August 5 to August 29, and the hourly wage is set at 11,030 won, which is the 2025 living wage for Gwangju City.


Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "I hope this job experience will provide university students with a meaningful opportunity to explore their career paths and develop economic independence by experiencing administrative work firsthand," adding, "We will continue to provide young people with various opportunities for job experience in the future."
