On August 5, Yeongcheon City announced that Mayor Choi Kimoon has opened an account with NH Nonghyup Bank's "APEC 2025 KOREA Success Deposit," expressing his wishes for the successful hosting of the APEC Summit.
This deposit product will be available for a limited time until October 31, with a total cap of 300 billion KRW.
The Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of NH Nonghyup Bank plans to deliver a public interest fund to the local community by combining 0.1% of the total deposit amount (up to 30 million KRW) and donations (up to 70 million KRW), with the total not exceeding 100 million KRW.
On this day, Mayor Choi Kimoon personally visited the NH Nonghyup Bank Yeongcheon City Hall branch office to open the deposit account. He stated, "To support the successful hosting of the 2025 APEC Summit, Yeongcheon City is joining in this effort by participating in the deposit. I hope that not only Yeongcheon citizens but also people across the nation will show growing interest and support."
Kim Kanghoon, head of the NH Nonghyup Bank Yeongcheon branch, said, "As a resident of Gyeongbuk, I feel a sense of pride and ask for the enthusiastic interest of Yeongcheon citizens in this special APEC deposit."
