Held at the Lawn Square of Gochang Eupseong
Free Admission on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
On August 5, the Gochang County Office in North Jeolla Province announced that it will host the "Gochang Midsummer Night Concert" on August 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the lawn square of Gochang Eupseong, featuring YB (Yoon Do-hyun Band) and Monni as invited performers.
YB is widely recognized as one of Korea's leading rock bands. For over 30 years, the band has maintained its position at the top without wavering, playing a pivotal role in the history of Korean band music.
The band's powerful rock sound, music encompassing social messages, and Yoon Dohyun's uniquely deep vocals continue to resonate with audiences across generations.
Monni, a four-member co-ed modern rock band celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, has established its own musical identity by harmoniously blending emotional melodies with intense rock sounds. Through numerous hit songs such as "Shower," "With You," and "When a Boy Becomes an Adult," the band has been recognized for both popularity and musicality.
Nah Yoonok, head of the Culture and Arts Division of Gochang County, stated, "We hope that by holding the 'Midsummer Night Concert' against the nightscape of Gochang Eupseong, residents who are weary from the heat will find renewed energy and enjoy a happy time."
Admission to the concert is free and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
