15% Discount on the App
Benefits for Residents and Support for Local Businesses
Gwanak District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Junhee) will issue an additional 3 billion KRW worth of Gwanak Ttaenggyeoyo (public delivery app) vouchers starting from 10:00 a.m. on August 8.
Earlier this year, the district issued Ttaenggyeoyo vouchers twice, totaling 1 billion KRW (500 million KRW each in January and June), and both times the vouchers sold out in a short period due to high demand. In response, the district secured a supplementary budget and will issue an additional 3 billion KRW worth of vouchers, three times more than originally planned.
The Gwanak Ttaenggyeoyo vouchers can be purchased at a 15% discount through the Seoul Pay Plus app. Each person can purchase up to 200,000 KRW per month, with a maximum holding limit of 1 million KRW. The vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Gwanak District is a pilot district for the activation of Seoul's public delivery app. Currently, when ordering through the Ttaenggyeoyo app, 10% of the payment amount is paid back as a "delivery-only voucher" in the Seoul Pay Plus app on the 20th of the following month, and 5% is accumulated as "Ttaenggyeoyo points," allowing users to enjoy up to a 30% discount. Additional benefits include a 10,000 KRW consumption coupon from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and discount coupons for popular chicken brands, which are provided when placing two orders of 20,000 KRW or more.
Starting from August 18, the "Gwanak Ttaenggyeoyo Voucher Certification Event" will be held. Those who certify their purchase receipt from an affiliated store after buying the voucher will receive a Seoul Sarang voucher (worth 10,000 KRW) on a first-come, first-served basis.
The number of Ttaenggyeoyo app subscribers increased from 90,000 in January this year to 110,000, and there are now 3,317 affiliated stores in Gwanak District, making the service popular among both small business owners and residents.
Park Junhee, Mayor of Gwanak District, stated, "I hope the additional vouchers will provide relief for small business owners and offer substantial discounts to consumers, serving as a catalyst to revitalize local businesses and the regional economy. I encourage residents not to miss this large-scale issuance opportunity."
