Gyeonggi Province is accepting applications for the '2025 Gyeonggi Province Climate Tech Conference Competition' until August 19, 2025, to support the growth of innovative climate tech companies.
The competition is open to climate tech companies nationwide. Technologies will be evaluated in five major fields: ▲Clean Tech (renewable energy) ▲Carbon Tech (carbon capture) ▲Eco Tech (resource circulation) ▲Food Tech (low-carbon food) ▲Geo Tech (climate information utilization). The evaluation will focus on the potential for demonstration and growth in these areas.
This competition, which is being held for the second time following last year, will select a total of seven teams and award a prize of 11 million KRW.
Applicants must submit an application and proposal that includes their technology and products, demonstration cases, and business plans. The competition process consists of document screening, preliminary presentations, and final judging. The evaluation will comprehensively consider technical factors such as technological completeness, suitability for climate tech, feasibility, as well as commercialization potential.
The final winning teams will be determined through a presentation evaluation on October 23, 2025.
This competition is hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi Environment and Energy Agency.
Gyeonggi Province plans to discover outstanding climate tech companies that will lead the climate economy era and to actively foster the climate tech ecosystem through this competition.
Cha Seongsu, Director of the Climate Environment and Energy Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Climate tech is a core pillar driving the climate economy.
