Positive Response to Ocean-Themed Programs and Woodworking Experiences

On August 4, the Goheung County Office (Governor Gong Youngmin) and the Goheung County Cultural City Center (Director Seo Sunghoon) announced that the 'Goheung Art Vacance' event, held at the Goheung County Community Center on August 2 with the participation of over 300 county residents, concluded successfully.

This event featured a variety of ocean-themed programs, including an environmental musical gala show, 3D whale postcard making, sea creature mood lamp crafting, and oil waterball making. Mini sports competitions such as the two-person three-legged tube race and flipper running, which were organized through on-site registration, also received enthusiastic responses from participants.

In particular, a range of woodworking programs, such as the 'Zepeto Yurangdan' operated by the Jeonnam Cultural Foundation and the 'Domestic Timber Experience' in collaboration with the county's Forest Garden Division, provided participants with unique experiences.

A county official stated, "We will do our best to ensure that Goheung residents can more easily access culture in their daily lives through events like Culture Day."

Meanwhile, the next Goheung Art Vacance, themed 'Autumn Play,' is scheduled to be held at 3:00 p.m. on September 27 in the plaza in front of the Goheung County Office. The event will feature a performance by the African percussion group 'Anyapo' and a variety of hands-on programs.
