Polaris Office Expands Ecosystem with K-AI Foundation Models in AI NOVA for Practical AI Transformation

On August 4, Polaris Office announced that it will sequentially integrate the large-scale language models (LLMs) developed by the five elite teams selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT's "Sovereign AI Foundation Model" project into its unified artificial intelligence (AI) agent, "AI NOVA." This move is part of a practical AI strategy aimed at maximizing real-world usability, moving beyond technology-centric AI competition.

Polaris Office has already successfully integrated Naver Cloud's HyperCLOVA X into its agent service "AI NOVA" and, in collaboration with Upstage, launched the world's first on-device AI office solution for Mac. Additionally, based on its history of supplying document solutions to LG Group affiliates, Polaris Office has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with LG AI Research and continues to expand the scope of their cooperation.

Notably, AI NOVA significantly enhances work productivity by offering a comprehensive suite of AI features, including automated meeting minutes, document Q&A, image generation, and AI avatar presentations. Its innovation was recognized at CES 2025, where it received the AI Innovation Award, demonstrating its global competitiveness.

In addition, to accelerate AI adoption among enterprises, Polaris Office has secured differentiated technological competitiveness in the field of "parsing," a key data preprocessing step. Through collaboration with kt cloud, the company provides advanced document analysis and classification technologies, thereby lowering the barriers to AI transformation for corporate clients.

Meanwhile, the government's "Sovereign AI" project is selecting five elite teams?Naver Cloud, Upstage, SK Telecom, NCAI, and LG AI Research?to develop domestic AI foundation models with performance exceeding 95% of the world's best. The project aims to expand AI services that can make tangible contributions to industry and the daily lives of citizens.
