The city of Busan has selected 10 local small restaurant businesses to provide customized consulting and support for improving their business environments.
On August 4, the city announced that, through the "On-Site Small Business Problem Solver Support Project," it will offer expert consultations and up to 9 million KRW in improvement funds to restaurants experiencing stagnant sales.
This project is a field-oriented small business revitalization program that has been in operation since 2020. This year, after document and on-site evaluations starting in June, a final selection of 10 businesses was made. The selected businesses are: Mukmukroasterycoffee, Misulgongbang, Sonjahanuroseugui, Shinsaehoa, Yeongpodong, Jeongaeyeon's Chakanbapsang, Jiridon, Toombroi, Homeaechan, and Heureullyu.
These businesses were evaluated as having distinctive menus and competitive strengths, such as traditional sauce pork ribs, beef brisket yukhoe wraps, craft beer, and Korean set meals.
The city plans to match each business with experts in relevant fields to diagnose issues and suggest solutions, while also carrying out facility improvements for on-site implementation. In addition, the consulting process and its outcomes will be produced as content for future promotional use.
Kim Bongcheol, Director of the Digital Economy Bureau, emphasized, "We hope that local small restaurant businesses struggling due to the economic downturn will use this support to grow into leading stores," and added, "We will continue to provide customized support for sustainable growth."
