First-Come, First-Served Registration for 60 Participants Until August 11
The Damyang-gun Cultural Foundation (Chairman Jung Chulwon, hereafter referred to as the Foundation) announced on August 4 that it will hold a career and humanities camp for local youth over two days, from September 13 to 14.
This camp is part of the "2025 Youth Humanities Program," supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Council Korea. It aims to provide an opportunity for young people, who are beginning to think seriously about their future careers, to explore concrete ways to design their own "dreams."
The program consists of special lectures and workshops. It will include expert lectures such as "Humanities for Youth to Find Their Own Dreams" and "Where Do Freedom and Power to Pursue Dreams Come From?" In addition, the "Verb-Type Dream Career Workshop" will focus on actively exploring one's career path, centered around the question of what kind of person each participant wants to become.
In particular, the camp will emphasize participatory activities that encourage deep reflection, allowing participants to discover their own potential and question their chosen paths from a humanities-based perspective. This is expected to provide a meaningful experience.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until August 11. The camp will recruit a total of 60 participants, divided into 30 upper-grade elementary school students and 30 middle school students for each day. Participation is free of charge, and detailed schedules and further information are available on the Foundation's website.
A Foundation representative stated, "We hope that through this camp, participants will discover the value of career and life within the region's cultural environment and have an opportunity to reflect on the direction of their own lives."
