Vehicle Deliveries to Begin Sequentially from August
On August 4, Volvo Cars Korea announced the official launch of the new XC60, a premium mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), in the domestic market.
The XC60, a five-seater SUV, reflects Scandinavian design, Volvo's advanced technology, and a human-centered philosophy. It is the best-selling model in the brand's history. The new XC60 features Volvo's next-generation user experience, 'Volvo Car UX.' Based on Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, it delivers more than twice the responsiveness compared to its predecessor. The new 11.2-inch standalone high-resolution center display is designed to present a wealth of information more intuitively. With capacitive touch technology, users can activate or control functions with minimal contact, and the screen is treated with LCF (Light Control Film) anti-reflection coating to minimize glare and reflections.
In addition, the XC60 is equipped with Tmap Auto, which offers the highest-quality map data in Korea; Nugu Auto, an in-car AI platform boasting over 96% Korean language recognition accuracy; and the Tmap Store, which supports a variety of third-party apps. Naver's Whale browser for vehicles is also included. The user experience of a smartphone is integrated into the infotainment system, allowing users to access desired services as applications (apps). A wide range of entertainment content, including various online video services (OTT), social networking services (SNS), and music streaming services, can be enjoyed inside the vehicle.
For those who value both comfort and driving performance, the active chassis with air suspension is standard from the B5 Ultra trim. This advanced technology monitors the vehicle, road, and driver 500 times per second, optimizing comfort and handling according to current road and driving conditions.
The new XC60 is available in Korea with two powertrains: a plug-in hybrid (T8 PHEV) that can drive up to 61 kilometers in pure electric mode on a single charge, and a gasoline-based 48V mild hybrid (B5 MHEV) producing up to 250 horsepower. The available trims are Plus and the top-tier Ultra.
The domestic prices for the new XC60 are set at 65.7 million won for the B5 AWD Plus, 73.3 million won for the B5 AWD Ultra, and 91.2 million won for the T8 AWD Ultra. Vehicle deliveries will begin sequentially from August.
Lee Yoonmo, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea, said, "We ask for your great interest and support for the new XC60, which offers flagship-level product quality to maximize the Swedish premium experience. We hope you will experience it for yourself."
