[Bitcoin Now] Upbit Begins Recruitment for Youth Digital Asset Education Program 'UP Class'

Dunamu, the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, announced on August 4 that it has begun accepting applications for "UP Class," a digital asset education program targeting young people. Applications can be submitted through the official UP Class website, and anyone in their 20s or 30s is eligible to participate.

To promote public understanding of digital assets, Dunamu launched the "UP Class" education program in May. As part of its ESG investor protection efforts, Dunamu, which operates Upbit-the most trusted global standard digital asset exchange-and is a blockchain specialist, has designed the program based on its experience and expertise. The program was first introduced in the first half of the year for senior citizens aged 50 and above, attracting about 1,200 applicants.

This year, Upbit is expanding the scope of its education program from seniors to young adults, offering UP Class to those in their 20s and 30s. The program will kick off at the "Upbit D Conference 2025" in Seoul on September 9, followed by a tour of five universities nationwide, including KAIST, POSTECH, Kangwon National University, Pukyong National University, and Chosun University. The journey will conclude at SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Participation is free of charge.

True to its goal of providing customized programs for each generation, this edition of UP Class has been designed to reflect the characteristics and needs of young people. While the previous UP Class for seniors focused on preventing fraud and managing retirement assets, this UP Class will provide not only digital asset education but also insights into advanced technology and knowledge trends such as blockchain and AI, aimed at empowering the youth who will shape Korea's future.

Speakers include Dr. Jang Dongseon, a leading authority in neuroscience and author of "How AI Changes the World," and Goran, an economic journalist and head of the YouTube channel "Algoran." Dr. Jang will discuss "The Future of Blockchain and AI That Young People Should Focus On," exploring the new changes and innovations these technologies will bring. Goran will lead a session titled "The Past and Present of Digital Assets Through Bitcoin," reviewing the history of digital assets and discussing their meaning and value.
