Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Operate Experiential Popup Store for Gyeonggi Sea Travel Week

Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will strengthen its promotional marketing for "Gyeonggi Sea Travel Week," which runs from August 8 to August 17, by hosting a popup store and organizing a special product exhibition through online travel platforms.


First, to showcase the diverse summer attractions of the Gyeonggi Sea, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will operate an experiential popup store called "Bonggong-i and the Five Seas Treasure Island" at the Central Atrium on the first floor of Starfield Suwon from August 8 to August 10.


This popup store, themed "Hidden Summer Treasures of the Gyeonggi Sea," will be set up as a mission-based experiential space featuring the marine resources of five cities adjacent to the Gyeonggi Sea: Gimpo, Siheung, Ansan, Hwaseong, and Pyeongtaek.

The event is structured as a story in which "Bonggong-i," the mascot of Gyeonggi Province, follows a treasure map he accidentally discovers and travels through the five cities in search of hidden treasures in the Gyeonggi Sea. The goal is to attract the interest and participation of many residents.


In addition, Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will run a special product exhibition for Gyeonggi Sea through the online travel platform "Nol Universe." In this exhibition, a total of 831 accommodation and marine leisure products from the five cities along the Gyeonggi Sea will be available at discounts of up to 30,000 won.


A representative from Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "The Gyeonggi Sea is a summer tourist destination that is close to the Seoul metropolitan area and offers attractive marine resources," and added, "Through this integrated online and offline campaign, we will maximize promotional effectiveness to enhance the Gyeonggi Sea brand's recognition and expand tourism demand."
