SK Innovation has launched the career camp 'KnockRak Tour' for children and adolescents who spend time on family caregiving. The purpose is to help these children temporarily step away from their caregiving responsibilities and have time to envision their futures.
SK Innovation announced on August 4 that it held the KnockRak Tour together with the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation over a two-day, one-night program on August 1 and 2. Unlike last year, when participation was limited to Seoul and the Chungcheong region, this year the program expanded to include areas near SK Innovation's business sites such as Incheon, Daejeon, and Ulsan, with a total of 32 children participating.

The 'KnockRak Tour' is part of SK Innovation's family caregiving support project, 'Happy Delivery KnockRak Care,' which began last year. 'KnockRak' combines the English word 'Knock,' meaning to knock on a door, and the Chinese character 'Rak,' meaning joy. It signifies helping children discover their dreams, take on new challenges, and gain vitality in life through cultural activities.
On the first day, participants toured the SK Seorin Building and attended the career talk concert 'AlssulsinJob,' where they explored various professions. On the second day, they took part in the 'Find Myself' session, which included a psychological assessment for the children, followed by a cultural experience at Lotte World.
This project is funded by the '1% Happiness Sharing Fund,' which is created by SK Innovation employees contributing 1% of their monthly salaries. Following 200 million won last year, 300 million won has been allocated this year.
An Junhyeon, Head of Communications at SK Innovation, stated, "Children who bear caregiving responsibilities need social attention and support to grow into healthy members of the next generation," and added, "We hope this event has given the children an opportunity to recharge their dreams and happiness, even if only for a short time."
