According to Politico on July 31 (local time), CEO Musk donated a total of $10 million (approximately 14 billion won) to the Republican super PACs (SUPER PAC·Special Political Action Committees) for the Senate and House of Representatives on June 27.

At that time, CEO Musk was publicly criticizing the tax cut bill promoted by the Donald Trump administration and was at odds with President Trump. He called the tax cut bill "disgusting and abhorrent" and urged its rejection through X (formerly Twitter). Musk also argued that Republican lawmakers supporting the bill must be defeated in the elections. The $5 million received by the Republican super PACs for the Senate and House of Representatives respectively was the largest individual donation made this year. The reason why CEO Musk made such a significant political contribution to the Republican Party has not been disclosed.

During last year's presidential election, CEO Musk spent $290 million (approximately 406 billion won) of his own funds to support President Trump and Republican candidates.

In particular, the super PAC 'America PAC', founded by CEO Musk, promised to pay about $1 million (1.4 billion won) to voters in seven swing states if they signed a petition supporting the First Amendment (freedom of expression) and Second Amendment (right to bear arms).

Additionally, among those who signed the constitutional petition, one person was selected each day by lottery to receive $1 million. America PAC's support for the constitutional petition is evaluated to have had a considerable impact on the election results in the swing states. In early July, CEO Musk announced the founding of a new party called the 'America Party'.
