President Lee Jaemyung will be taking a five-day summer vacation from August 4 to August 8.
The Office of the President announced this on August 1 through the press corps. The Office stated, "Starting from Saturday, August 2, President Lee will be staying on Jeodo Island in Geoje, where he plans to reflect on national affairs and spend time recharging through reading and watching movies."
However, the Office of the President explained that President Lee intends to continue monitoring major state affairs, including public livelihood issues, during his vacation. A system will also be in place to report any urgent matters that may arise while President Lee is on vacation.
