According to the city on August 1, this event, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, was organized to promote the consumption of domestic agricultural and livestock products, to revitalize the use of traditional markets, and to help reduce the burden of grocery prices for citizens.

During the event, customers who purchase domestic fresh agricultural and livestock products at designated stores in Jungang Market, Maeil Market, and Seodong Market will receive up to 30% of their purchase amount back in Onnuri gift certificates, depending on the amount spent.

The refund standards are as follows: for purchases between 34,000 won and less than 67,000 won, a refund of 10,000 won; for purchases of 67,000 won or more, a refund of 20,000 won. The maximum refund per person is 20,000 won.

The refund booth is set up on the way from the parking lot to the Seodong Market and operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Onnuri gift certificates will be provided on-site after identity verification, and only receipts from purchases made on the same day will be accepted. The city expects that this event, together with the ongoing livelihood recovery consumption coupon program, will contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

A city official said, "We organized this refund event to reduce the burden of prices during the summer vacation season and to increase consumption at traditional markets," and added, "We will continue to implement various consumption promotion policies so that citizens can purchase high-quality domestic agricultural and livestock products at reasonable prices."
