Gwangju Bank announced on August 1 that it will temporarily offer the "TenTen Bullseye Special Foreign Currency Time Deposit" until October, in support of the successful hosting of the 2025 World (Para) Archery Championships and to wish for the success of the "Gwangju Bank TenTen Archery Team."
Recently, as the number of customers preferring safe assets has surged, demand for foreign currency deposits has also continued to rise. In response, Gwangju Bank has launched a special foreign currency time deposit product that features a competitive interest rate benefit, including a preferential rate of up to 0.40%p per annum, as well as various preferential exchange rates and fee benefits.
The "TenTen Bullseye Special Foreign Currency Time Deposit" is available to individuals and sole proprietors. The minimum deposit amount is USD 1,000, and customers can choose a term of either 6 or 12 months. The total sales limit is USD 10 million, and the product may close early if the limit is reached.
For a 6-month term, the basic annual interest rate is 3.84%, with a maximum preferential rate of 0.40%p added, providing up to 4.24% per annum. For a 12-month term, the basic annual interest rate is 3.70%, with a maximum preferential rate of 0.40%p added, providing up to 4.10% per annum.
The conditions for preferential rates are as follows: ▲ All customers who open an account in commemoration of hosting the archery championship receive an additional 0.10%p per annum ▲ Customers who sign up via non-face-to-face channels (smart banking/mobile web) receive an additional 0.10%p per annum ▲ Customers who convert the entire deposit from KRW to USD when signing up receive an additional 0.20%p per annum.
In addition to a 50% preferential exchange rate spread at the time of new deposit or maturity withdrawal, customers will also receive a 50% discount on remittance fees if the maturity amount is sent overseas on the day of withdrawal. The product is expected to attract significant attention from customers. Customers can sign up not only at all Gwangju Bank branches but also conveniently through GwangjuWABank and mobile web banking channels.
