Bucheon Pay August Purchase Limit Raised to 1 Million Won... Cashback Up to 70,000 Won

Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will increase the monthly purchase limit for the local currency, 'Bucheon Pay,' to a maximum of 1 million won this month. The city will also launch events to promote mutual growth with small businesses and stimulate consumption, aiming to revitalize the local commercial district.

According to the city on August 1, the monthly purchase limit eligible for incentives was 700,000 won in July. However, for the month of August, it will be expanded to 1 million won. As a result, citizens who recharge Bucheon Pay this month will receive a 7% incentive, allowing them to benefit up to 70,000 won.

In addition, the city will hold the 'Small Business Mutual Growth + Consumption Promotion Event' for one month from August 22 to September 21 to boost sales for local small businesses. During this period, if Bucheon Pay is used for payments at affiliated stores in traditional markets and 'Good Price' businesses, 10% of the payment amount will be instantly provided as cashback, up to a maximum of 10,000 won per person.

The cashback provided will be automatically deducted from the next payment, and the usage period is until November 30. If not used within the period, the cashback will automatically expire. Details of the cashback can be checked in the 'Bucheon City Consumption Support Fund, 2nd Round' section of the Gyeonggi Local Currency app.

This event will be carried out using the social contribution fund of the Gyeonggi Local Currency operating agency and may end early if the budget is exhausted.

A Bucheon City official stated, "We expect that expanding the Bucheon Pay purchase limit and providing additional cashback benefits will increase the benefits for citizens and contribute to boosting sales at traditional markets and 'Good Price' businesses."
