KG Mobility announced on August 1 that the company and its labor union have concluded this year’s wage negotiations, achieving a settlement without labor disputes for the 16th consecutive year.
On July 31, the KG Mobility (KGM) labor union reported that the provisional wage agreement was approved by a vote among union members, with a 64.5% approval rate.
As a result, KGM has completed wage negotiations without any labor disputes for 16 consecutive years since 2010. A KGM representative stated, "Based on our exemplary labor-management culture of mutual growth and cooperation, we will now be able to focus all our capabilities on realizing the company’s mid- and long-term development strategies."
Notably, this provisional agreement includes commitments and intentions for securing KGM’s sustainable future growth engines, such as strategies for launching new vehicles, pursuing new businesses, and strengthening technological capabilities. In addition, both labor and management reached a consensus that a stable labor-management relationship is essential to increasing sales volume.
This year, KGM’s labor and management began negotiations with an initial meeting in June and reached a provisional agreement after 15 rounds of talks, which was finally approved through a union vote on July 31. The main points of this year’s agreement are: ▲ an increase of 75,000 won in base salary ▲ a total of 3.5 million won including PI (production incentive).
A KGM representative said, "With this year’s wage negotiations concluded, all employees will do their utmost to increase sales of the highly regarded Actyon Hybrid, as well as to enhance customer satisfaction and management efficiency."
