Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on August 1 that it has launched 'Barentok Nail Lacquer,' a treatment dedicated to nail fungal infections.
Barentok Nail Lacquer is a topical medication for the treatment of nail fungal infections (onychomycosis). Its main ingredient is ciclopirox, which has broad-spectrum antifungal activity and anti-inflammatory effects.
It can be conveniently applied by spreading a thin layer over the affected area once a day. The product features an integrated brush-type container, allowing for easy application without the need for additional tools. After application, it should be left to dry for about 30 seconds and kept away from water for at least six hours. For removal, it can be simply washed off with water, without the need for organic solvents or scraping.
Barentok Nail Lacquer is packaged as two 5ml bottles, considering the long-term treatment required for fungal infections. It is classified as a non-prescription drug and can be purchased at pharmacies without a prescription.
A representative from Kwangdong Pharmaceutical stated, "Barentok Nail Lacquer offers convenient use with its once-daily application and integrated brush container," adding, "We expect it to be a practical alternative for patients with nail fungal infections who require long-term treatment."
