Through this agreement, the two companies will provide integrated services that connect currency exchange with securities investments such as stocks. Switchwon is a global fintech company specializing in currency exchange, FX trading, and foreign exchange risk management. Since launching its service in 2022, the company has grown rapidly and, as of August 2025, is processing more than 150 billion KRW in monthly currency exchange transactions, amounting to an annual volume of 2 trillion KRW.
Seo Jeonga, CEO of Switchwon, stated, "Through this agreement, we aim to eliminate the burden of currency exchange costs for customers when investing in securities and provide an innovative user experience that integrates currency exchange and overseas securities investment." Han Ilhyeon, Head of Platform Business Division at Shinhan Investment Corp., said, "Recently, interest in not only U.S. stocks but also a variety of overseas investment services has been increasing among customers. We plan to offer a range of foreign currency-related investment services, starting with fractional U.S. stock trading."
Shinhan Investment Corp. has continuously launched overseas investment services, including fractional trading of U.S. stocks and odd-lot trading of Japanese stocks.
