LG Uplus Launches 'AI Phone Pack' for Small Businesses Combined with 5G

Benefits Available for Subscribers Until January 31 Next Year

On August 1, LG Uplus announced that it will offer its 'AI Phone' service, which was launched last year exclusively for small business owners, as a benefit for subscribers to its 5G mobile premium plans.

The AI Phone is a service that adds AI features to the existing internet phones used in small business stores. The AI call bot answers simple and repetitive inquiries made to the store 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Based on store information preset by the owner, the AI provides accurate answers to key questions such as location, business hours, and parking availability. During this time, the owner can focus more on serving in-store customers.

Store information can be managed directly through the integrated management application for small business communication products, called 'Urigage Package.' In addition, the app provides a report feature that analyzes AI Phone interactions, allowing owners to identify frequently asked questions from customers and use this data to improve store operations.

LG Uplus will waive the monthly AI Phone usage fee of 7,700 KRW (based on a three-year contract) for customers who subscribe to a 5G premium plan and select the AI Phone Pack by January 31 of next year. The company will also provide a business internet phone device and 50 minutes of free calls (a three-year contract is required; additional call and text charges apply beyond 50 minutes). The 5G plans eligible for the AI Phone Pack are '5G Signature' (130,000 KRW per month) and '5 Premier Super' (115,000 KRW per month), and only one line per customer is allowed.
