[Click eStock] "Powernet's PER at 3.7, Performance Expected to Improve Further This Year"

Independent research firm ValueFinder stated on August 1 that Powernet is currently trading at a price-to-earnings ratio (PER) of 3.7, and forecasted that its performance will further improve this year. Powernet participated in the July CorpDay event hosted by ValueFinder the previous day.

Powernet is a specialized electronic components company that has been collaborating with major domestic conglomerates such as Samsung Electronics and Coway for over 25 years, supplying key electronic power components such as adapters and SMPS. Recently, the company has been shifting its product portfolio toward the premium market and diversifying its business into B2C. In addition, it is rapidly expanding its customer base by securing partnerships across various industries, including beauty tech and household goods.

Lee Chungheon, a researcher at ValueFinder, analyzed, "Powernet has been setting new quarterly performance records since the second quarter of last year. This year, sales are expected to grow by more than 15% compared to the previous year, and the operating profit margin is also projected to improve year-on-year through cost reduction."

According to Lee, Powernet has also secured mid- to long-term growth drivers by finalizing multiple models of swappable LFP battery packs in collaboration with Chinese companies, and by jointly developing GaN power modules for AI servers with a French company to address power supply issues in the AI and cloud markets.

He added, "Powernet has completed registration as a partner supplier to a major domestic household goods company and will begin initial deliveries this month, with nationwide distribution expected to expand in the fourth quarter of this year. In addition, the company is expected to diversify its revenue streams through expanded EMS air purifier supply, application to various new product lines for Coway, and increased supply of adapters for electric heating mats."
